Buzz Poets win Challenge

This is one year people can't complain that the winner of the Graffiti Rock Challenge doesn't rock. The Buzz Poets used a mix of hyper hip hop and slashing Green Day-style punk to blow out the competition in the finals at sold-out Graffiti Saturday night.

The Pittsburgh band, which released its own CD, "Planet Buzz," late last year, wins 60 hours of studio time, the pressing of 1,000 CDs, a music video, legal services and more.

The Buzz Poets closed the night on a bill with the Cheryl Clay Band, Sho 'Nuff and the Sonic Tonics, and stir up the biggest crowd response - a fierce mosh pit that they used their own security to control.
